Denny Hamlin Wins Lipton TEA 250

Denny Hamlin used his four fresh tires to get by Kevin Harvick to win the Lipton TEA 250 from Richmond.

Kyle Busch and Steven Wallace made contact coming out of turn 2 in the closing laps, which sent Busch sideways. Somehow, though, he saved it and managed to get back by Wallace.

After the race, Busch approached Wallace, who was still in his car, and had a few choice words for him. Wallace, then, appeared to grab Busch’s helmet before the two were separated. It also appeared that Busch and Wallace got together during the cool down lap, and Wallace got into David Ragan, who spun.

Busch said:

I basically told him if he wants to mess with the bull he is going to get the horns and then he wanted to grab my helmet, which is pretty childish again. But, uh, we’ll see what happens here in the future, if he wants to play those games he’s going to get hurt.

Wallace said:

I jerked him by his helmet just to rattle his cage a little bit just to tell him I wasn’t happy with it, he’s just a little girl about it. You know, I don’t know. I think it’s pretty bad when they call driver introductions and everybody in the grandstands boo[s] you. It’s always for a reason. He’s a sore loser.

The top 10: Hamlin, Harvick, Busch, Ragan, Wallace, David Stremme, Carl Edwards, Mike Bliss, Clint Bowyer, and Scott Wimmer.
