Jayski says that it is becoming increasingly likely that Tony Stewart will leave Joe Gibbs Racing to start his own team, working with Haas CNC and/or Richard Childress Racing. Bass Pro Shops could be the sponsor.
Jayski also says he is hearing the Martin Truex Jr. may be leaving DEI, despite reports that the company picked up his option for 2009. Truex would join Penske drivers Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman and Sam Hornish Jr. The sponsor is said to be UPS.
