Donny Lia Wins Ohio 250

Using a series of aggressive, beatin’ and bangin’ passes, Donny Lia won the Ohio 250 at Mansfield Motorsports Park.

David Starr dominated most of the race, and survived many late restarts, but on the last lap, Lia got into his left rear corner panel just enough to break traction.

Lia dove to the inside, and Todd Bodine, who was running third at the time, dove harder into the inside of the corner to make it three wide.

But, Bodine couldn’t hold it and got loose. Lia and Starr pulled away, but Lia and Starr bumped again and Starr got a little loose, so Lia beat him to the stripe.

After the race, Starr took the high road and said that he was disappointed, but that it was just good short track racing. Bodine, however, described Lia’s pass on him as a “body slam.” But, he said he expected it because that is Lia’s driving style.
