NASCAR Penalizes JR Motorsports Team Members

NASCAR on Wednesday issued fines to Tony Eury Sr., crew chief for the No. 88 Nationwide entry, driven by Brad Keselowski, following an altercation on pit road between the No. 88 Navy team and the No. 20 Z-Line team and driver Denny Hamlin.

Following an incident under caution during the Carquest Auto Parts 300, the No. 88 team went to the No. 20’s pit. There was some pushing and shoving until NASCAR officials broke the two teams up.

Eury Sr. was fined $1,000 and placed on probation until June 25th.

Crewmember Michael Sandlin will be suspended for one race and fined $1,500 forĀ failing to follow a directive from a NASCAR official and inappropriate contact with a NASCAR official. He will be placed on probation until Oct. 15.

And, crewmember Jordan Allen was fined $1,500 and placed on probation until Oct. 15th for the same offenses and Sandlin.
