ESPN is reporting that the U.S. Army is close to finalizing a deal to partially co-sponsor Ryan Newman and the No. 39 Stewart Haas Racing entry next season.
The Army is leaving Dale Earnhardt Inc.’s No 8 Chevy at the end of the season.
