Shortly after winning the pole for the Camping World 400 presented by Coleman from Kansas Speedway, Juan Pablo Montoya’s time was disallowed because the nitrogren gas pressure in his rear shock absorbers exceeded the 75 pounds per square inch allowed under NASCAR rules.

As a result, Montoya will start 42nd and Jimmie Johnson, the second fastest qualifier will start on the pole.

Following the infraction, Montoya nor the Chip Ganassi Racing team had any comment.
