Rick Clark Motorsports is expected to announce that it has merged with No Fear Racing, and will field a Cup entry with driver Boris Said in 12 to 18 races this season.
With the endeavour, Rick Clark will become the first African American majority owner of a Sprint Cup team since 2003.
No word on which number the entry will have, but Said and NFR have used the No. 60 in the past. The car will most likely be a Ford, and will run Roush-Yates engines, as Said has run Fords and their engines in the past.
Said will attempt to make this year’s Daytona 500 in the No. 08 of EM Motorsports. James Hilton was set to try to get the No. 60 in the Daytona 500, but failed to turn any practice laps, and thus was not allowed to qualify.
