NASCAR has called a mandatory drivers meeting on May 26th at the Research and Development Center in Concord, NC. The meeting will be of the town hall variety and is said to be a discussion about the state of the sport.
Most, however, think the meeting has to do with clearing up the confusion surrounding Jeremy Mayfield’s suspension, and NASCAR’s drug testing policy.

Mayfield should not be treated any differently than anybody else who tests positive for a banned substance. Even if his claim of an innocent combination is valid, it is not worth putting fans and other drivers at risk. The sport is dangerous enough already!
