Logano Wins Dollar General 300

loganochi1Dave Rogers, Joey Logano’s crew cheif for the Dollar General 200 at Chicagoland Speedway, opted to keep Logano out on old tires as the leaders pitted for a late caution. The decision paid off as Logano, who led a race-high 96 laps, drove away from Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch to win the race.

Top 5: Logano, Busch, Brian Vickers, Jason Leffler, and Kevin Harvick.

Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, David Reutimann, Mike Bliss, and Justin Allgaier rounded out the top 10.

Notables: Jeff Burton (11th), Paul Menard (14th), Brad Keselowski (18th), Ryan Newman (22nd), and David Ragan (34th).

Both the JR Motorsports cars (Newman, Keselowski) ran out of fuel during the first green-flag run of the race. Keselowski lost two laps as the crew worked to refire his No. 88 Chevy. He finished 18th. Newman lost a lap in the pits, too. He finished 22nd.
