Furniture Row Racing and driver Regan Smith have reached an agreement in principle for Smith to drive with the team in 2010. Smith currently drives for the team on a part time basis, but is looking to driver full time next season with both Furniture Row and Colorado Farm Bureau as sponsors.

SceneDaily is reporting that Richard Petty Motorsports has swapped crews for AJ Allmendinger and Reed Sorenson effective this weekend’s Carfax 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Crew chief Mike Shiplett will work with Allmedinger while Sammy Johns will work with Sorenson.
On the penultimate restart, Tony Stewart took the lead of the Helluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at the Glen from Kyle Busch. He then easily held off a late charge from Marcos Ambrose to earn his fifth Sprint Cup victory at Watkins Glen International.
Marcos Ambrose used a daring move entering the bus stop at Watkins Glen to pass Kyle Busch and win his second consecutive Zippo 200 at the Glen.
The Helluva Good! at the Glen has been postponed due to rain. The race will be run Monday at noon, the second consecutive week that the race will be run on Monday.
Despite recent comments indicating that Stewart Haas Racing was unlikely to expand, Tony Stewart said that he has not ruled anything out. But, he said, it would mean things have to happen pretty quickly. The logistics, however, would not be an issue because the shop can already house three cars.
Brad Keselowski may be running out of options to compete in the Sprint Cup next season. With Tony Stewart’s recent comments that he does not plan to expand, that leaves fewer options for Keselowski in 2010.
