Judge Denies Request To Lift Mayfield Injunction

SceneDaily reports that a district court judge has denied NASCAR’s request to lift a permanent injunction he granted to Jeremy Mayfield on July 1 that would allow Mayfield to return to NASCAR competition. U.S. District Court Judge Graham Mullen’s decision was based on the fact that NASCAR filed an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals that ordered a stay of the injunction until an appeal could be heard. The hearing could be as early as October.
