Reports are surfacing that Danica Patrick is coming to NASCAR in 2010, after all. But, according to cited, unnamed sources, Patrick will compete in a some races in the Camping World Truck Series, the Nationwide Series, and the ARCA Re/Max Series. Tony Stewart and Stewart Haas Racing are expected to bring Patrick along and help her adjust to NASCAR.
Patrick visited SHR twice this off-season, and it appears, according to unnamed sources, that those visits were to discuss a deal that would bring her to NASCAR.
SHR does not currently field trucks or Nationwide cars, so a third partner would need to be brought in. The source speculates that JR Motorsports or Kevin Harvick Inc could be involved. KHI is more likely because the team competes in both the truck series and the Nationwide Series.
Patrick will also run the full Indy Racing League schedule next season, and she is close to signing an extension with Andretti Green Racing.
None of this is official, or confirmed, so it should be treated as a rumor at this point.
