Hamlin Wins At Richmond; Vickers In Chase

dhrich1Denny Hamlin has dominated Richmond International Raceway, his home track, on several occasions. On Saturday night, Hamlin finally turned that domination in a victory, winning the Chevy Rock & Roll 400.

Brian Vickers’ seventh place finish earned him a spot in the Chase, while Kyle Busch’s fifth-place finish was not enough to get him into the Chase. Matt Kenseth also struggled all night, and missed the Chase for the first time since its inception.

Top 5: Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, and Kyle Busch.

Clint Bowyer, Vickers, Sam Hornish Jr, Kevin Harvick, and Ryan Newman rounded out the top 10.

Notables: Jimmie Johnson (11th), Kasey Kahne (12th), Greg Biffle (13th), Carl Edwards (15th), Tony Stewart (17th), Jeff Burton (18th), Juan Montoya (19th), Dale Earnhardt Jr (21st), and Matt Kenseth (25th).
