Waltrip To Run The No. 51

According to SceneDaily ^[1], Michael Waltrip will run the No. 51 in the Sprint Cup Series this season. Jayski ^[2] was one of the first, if not the first, to report the number change.

Waltrip said:

The 55 was getting a little heavy. I hadn’t won with it. I felt real comfortable coming close to winning a couple of times. But I just wanted a change of pace. The 15 [I once drove] was available, but I didn’t feel like that was right. I wanted a variation of the 15, so I went with the 51.
