RPM In Default On $90 Million Loan

Richard Petty Motorsports has been in default on a $90 million loan since February, but hopes to restructure the loan soon. Team owner George Gillett indicated that RPM did not miss payments, but an anonymous source indicate that's not the case.


Two-Tire Call Gives Newman Phoenix Win

Ryan Newman took two tires during the final pit stop under caution and drove passed Jeff Gordon to win the Subway Fresh Fit 600 at Phoenix International Raceway. The victory is the first in 77 races for Newman, and the first for his Stewart Haas Racing team and crew chief Tony Gibson
