RFR President Expects UPS, Ragan Back In 2011

SceneDaily is reporting that Roush Fenway Racing president Geoff Smith said that he expects David Ragan and UPS to stay with the organization through the 2011 Sprint Cup Series season, despite recent rumors that the driver and the sponsor could be on the move at the end of this season.

UPS’s contract runs through the 2011 season, while Ragan’s contract includes options for 2011.

Smith said of the rumors that Ragan and UPS could be leaving:

What that is is wishful thinking by people who don’t have sponsors. David Ragan does a really good job with UPS and we’re hoping that his youth will mature on the race track. …  I have a contractual expectation that they will be here. I have an anticipation that David’s on-track activity will improve over the year.
