Rumor: Labonte Leaving TRG Motorsports This Week is reporting that sources are saying that Bobby Labonte is expected to leave TRG Motorsports’ No. 71 Sprint Cup Chevy this week.

Rumor has it he could be headed to Robby Gordon Motorsports’ No. 7 Toyota to compete in this weekend’s Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Team owner Robby Gordon said that he would not pilot the car this week.

Update: is reporting that Andy Lally will drive the No. 71 instead of Labonte. But, TRG owner Kevin Buckler said that the team has not yet parted ways with Labonte. He said:

We’re still trying to work through everything.

Labonte drove a handful of races for TRG at the end of 2009. He signed on in November to drive for 2010. Sponsorship has not been secured for the remaining races in 2010. And, he has parked early in three of the last five races.
