Sources told ESPN that the two drivers who were fined for making disparaging remarks about NASCAR were Ryan Newman and Denny Hamlin.
Earlier this week, the Associated Press reported that NASCAR secretly fined two drivers for making negative comments about the sport; prompting backlash from media and fans about the decision not to name the drivers.
With this news, hopefully this story can be put to rest.
Update: Ryan Newman confirmed that he was one of the drivers fined by NASCAR. He did not disclose the amount of the fine or what he said to trigger it.
