Rheem, which is in its third year with KHI, will appear as primary sponsor for 22 races in each of the next two Nationwide seasons. Menards, meanwhile, will appear as primary sponsor for 12 races in 2011 and 2012.
Harvick is slated to drive the No. 33 Rheem Chevy in select events next season. And, with Richard Childress Racing and KHI combining their Nationwide Series programs, other RCR drivers could drive the car. Clint Bowyer is going to debut a new edition of the classic red and black Rheem paint scheme at Daytona. And, Austin Dillon will be behind the wheel in select events for Rheem.
Harvick and Dillon will also drive certain events in the No. 33 Menards Chevy. Paul Menard will drive that car, as well.
Team co-owner Kevin Harvick said:
We’re very excited to have Rheem continue its program with KHI and the No. 33 car in the Nationwide Series for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. Over the last three years, we’ve watched Rheem increasingly move up their involvement from a few races to now being a major player in the Nationwide Series and one of KHI’s most reliable and most active partners. To have participated in their growth and to see them bring new partners into the mix is very exciting.
JR Jones, of Rheem, said:
Our long association with Kevin and DeLana Harvick and the entire KHI team is a perfect example of quality people and organizations coming together to form one great team.
