McMurray Signs Multi-Year Extension With EGR

[1]Jamie McMurray has reached a multi-year deal with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing to remain as driver for the team’s No. 1 Sprint Cup Chevy, according to ESPN.com [2]. McMurray signed a one-year deal with the team before the start of last season.
The signing of a deal was really a formality, as there was little chance that EGR would let McMurray get away after a season in which McMurray won the season’s biggest events, the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis; and finished second in the season’s next-biggest events, the Showtime Southern 500 at Darlington, and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte.
He also won the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte and finished second in the Aaron’s 599 at Talladega.
