TRG Motorsports announced that NASCAR veteran Jay Guy will serve as crew chief for the team’s No. 71 entry in the 2011 Sprint Cup Series season. Guy moves to TRG from Penske Racing, where he served as Cup crew chief for Brad Keselowski last season.

Team owner Kevin Buckler said:

Jay comes to us highly recommended. We’re very happy to have him on board. He’s got exactly the kind of experience we’ve been looking for to lead the team and guide [driver] Andy [Lally] through his rookie season. He’ll fit in well at TRG. He’s got the same kind of passion and desire to win that our team has from top to bottom.
