NASCAR Reduces Size Of Restrictor Plate

NASCAR has decided to use a smaller restrictor plate for the Daytona 500 in an attempt to reduce speeds from the 306 mph seen in the Bud Shootout. The new plate will measure 57/64ths, which is a 1/64th reduction from the plate that was used in the Shootout. It should cut about 10 horsepower from the engines.
