How about this: Trade a Nationwide Iowa race date with a Sprint Cup Pocono race date. This is a win-win situation for both NASCAR series by adding the excitement of new venues. Improvements to the Iowa facility to accomodate the larger crowds etc would be needed before this could happen.

The date for Iowa could come from any of these: Michigan, Pocono, Kansas, or Loudon. Pick one. The races at those tracks rarely produce exciting races. The Cup Series would be better only visiting most of the tracks only once. Tracks with two races should be reserved for the special tracks and tracks that produce good racing (Daytona, Bristol, Charlotte, Dover, etc.).

They had 2 races at Phoenix this year, they could take that down to one and bring a race to Newton.

Thanks for reading and commenting, Jeremy. While I wouldn’t mind seeing Iowa get a Cup date, I think that it would need to replace a Cup date someplace else. Which race would you give up to add Iowa to the Cup schedule?

I am a loyal fan of nascar and had season tickets [Newton club tickets]
since the first race in September of 2006. I want cup there more than you can imagine!
