JR Motorsports has reached a sponsorship agreement with iRacing that will put the online racing league on JRM’s No. 7 Nationwide Series entry driven by Josh Wise for two back-to-back Nationwide Series races this summer in support of iRacing 2.0, the leagues new software release.
The No. 7 Chevy will feature the paint scheme in the Kroger 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis in July and the U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway in August.
iRacing President Tony Gardner said:
Our friendship with Dale Jr. and his race team go back to the beginning of iRacing so this is a natural progression to an already well-established relationship. Our 25,000 plus members know Dale’s passion for sim racing and iRacing. So when it came time to get the word out about iRacing 2.0, we called Dale and he happily obliged.
JRM co-owner and manager Kelley Earnhardt added:
When iRacing approached us about finding a way to work with them in announcing iRacing 2.0 we jumped at the chance to expand on what already is a terrific relationship. JR Motorsports prides itself on not only being a top tier racing team but a cross platform marketing company and we are excited to show them results on the track and in promoting iRacing 2.0.
iRacing is holding a paint scheme contest as a part of the promotion. Entries will be judged on their ability to illustrate what iRacing 2.0 is about. iRacing and JR Motorsport staff will pick a winner whose scheme will be featured on the No. 7 for the two races.
