Truex To Get New Tire Changers; Carriers Starting At Darlington

Martin Truex Jr will get new tire changers and carriers starting at this weekend’s Showtime Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, Michael Waltrip Racing’s executive vice president Steve Hallam said.

Hallam said:

We’ve seen significant improvement in the overall performance of the #56 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota in 2011. With our impressive speed comes the added pressure of the entire team to perform. As we know, the #56 has experienced several challenges on pit road and we feel the need to intervene.

Eric Maycroft and Ricky Coleman will replace Cory Quick and Cory Curione as front tire changer and carrier, respectively. Daniel Rankin and Jake Brzozowski will replace Shannon Myers and Mark Kennerly as rear tire changer and carrier, respectively.
