ESPN To Broadcast Chase Races With NonStop Format

ESPN will broadcast the final 10 races of the Sprint Cup Series schedule with its new “NonStop” format. The new format will be in effect for the races that make up the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship and will debut with the event at Chicagoland Speedway.

Commercial breaks will feature a split-screen format with the advertisement on the left and a continuation of racing action on the right. The scoring ticker will continue to move across the top of the screen, allowing fans to follow the running order of the race during the breaks.

The new format will take effect at or near the halfway point of the race, with the first half of the race presented in the traditional commercial break format.
