Thanks for commenting, and for reading. While I do think Busch got preferential treatment, I can’t say that I have a problem with it. I mean, it’s up to the officer to determine what the specific course of action should be. I have been given warnings for things that I should have been ticketed before, simply based on the cop’s mood. Since Busch is well-known, there’s practically no likelihood that he would flee or miss his court date, which is the main reason the cops hold people. So again, I don’t have a problem with him not being taken to jail.

With that said, he did receive special treatment because of who he is. I hope he gets a steep fine and loses his license, or whatever punishment is consistent with anyone who does what he did.
