On the one hand, I get what you mean -- everything is &quot;detrimental to stock car racing.&quot; But, on the other, I do understand that on-track incidents and attempts to circumvent the rules do make the sport look bad because it shows a disregard for the rules. Still, the more they use it, the less meaning it has, I think.

That&#039;s like the FAA&#039;s favorite catch all regulation &quot;careless &amp; reckless operation&quot;.
