Last night on Race Hub on SPEED, Randy Pemberton was ripping Red Bull Racing. He said that the engineers calls the shot for the teams. When they show up on race weekends, the crew chiefs have to make due with what they have. It sounded like the CCs have very little input. He mentioned that RBR engineers don't know that a stock car changes every 10 laps or so. He also said that RBR never had a big-name driver before Kasey Kahne, so they never had a veteran to tell them how they could improve their equipment. And, He said that Joe Gibbs Racing builds their engines, while Toyota Racing Development builds RBR's engines and that could be a reason that the team struggles. It was very interesting. But, I think that if RBR pulls out and Jay Frye can find investors, this team may turn out to be decent, if what Pemberton says is accurate.
