Scott Speed will run the No. 46 Whitney Motorsports Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for the remainder of the season, Speed announced via a press release. Speed drove for Max Q Motorsports in the No. 37 Ford at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Pocono Raceway, and Watkins Glen International. He finished 39th, 40th, and 39th, respectively, running fewer than 20 laps in two out of the three races. He also piloted Kevin Harvick Inc’s No. 33 Chevy to a sixth place finish in the Nationwide Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
The team also announced via its Facebook page that it has secured sponsorship for the AdvoCare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway and the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.
