Burton To Make His NASCAR Return In Truck Series

Ward Burton will make his NASCAR return, after a five-year absence, in the NextEra Energy 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway in February. Burton, older brother of Richard Childress Racing driver Jeff Burton, will drive the No. 27 Hillman Racing Chevy in select Truck Series events. He will share seat time with his son, Jeb.

Jeb Burton will make his CWTS debut in the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway at the end of March.

Trip Bruce, who worked with Burton during his days driving the No. 22 Bill Davis Racing Sprint Cup car, will serve as crew chief for the No. 27. Burton has won five career Sprint Cup races including the 2002 Daytona 500, and four Nationwide Series wins.
