Penske Racing has announced that Ryan Blaney, son of Sprint Cup Series veteran Dave Blaney, has signed with the team to drive its No. 22 Nationwide Series Dodge in select events for the remainder of the season.
Blaney will make his debut for the team in August at Iowa Speedway. He is also slated to drive the car at Richmond International Raceway and Kentucky Speedway in September.
Blaney has made three starts in the series, driving for Tommy Baldwin Racing. His best finish was an impressive seventh-place finish at Richmond in April. He also posted a 43rd-place finish at Darlington Raceway, and a 15th-place finish at Kentucky.
