Chief Appellate Officer Upholds Penalties To No. 27

[1]National Stock Car Racing Chief Appellate Officer John Middlebrook upheld the original penalty NASCAR assessed to the No. 27 Richard Childress Racing Sprint Cup Series team.
The No. 27 team was penalized for infractions found during post race inspection after the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Originally, the crew chief Slugger Labbe and car chief Craig Smokstad were suspended. With the original appeal being upheld, those suspensions go into affect immediately.
