MWR Crew Member Fired After Violating Substance Abuse Policy

Maycroft was found to have violated┬áSections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy) of the 2013 NASCAR Rule Book.

As a result, MWR fired Maycroft, who joined the team in 2011.

MWR issued a statement. It said:

Michael Waltrip Racing fully supports NASCAR’s substance abuse policies and those who complete the Road to Recovery program. MWR’s zero tolerance policy has resulted in the immediate termination of the employee.
