Hornday Out At NTS Motorsport

Ron Hornaday is reportedly out at NTS Motorsport. Hornaday will not drive the No. 9 NTS Motorsport Chevy in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Nelson Piquet Jr will take over driving duties in the Ford EcoBoost 200.

Hornaday said:

We left on good terms. If you don’t want me there I don’t want to be there. We shook hands. We’ll go on.

NTS owner Bob Newberry said:

We at NTS Motorsports appreciate everything Ron (Hornaday) has done this year to help build NTS Motorsports in its first year competing at the national level in NASCAR.Ron has been a great asset to our organization and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Turner Scott Motorsports co-owner Steve Turner offered Hornaday a ride for the season finale.
