Vickers Gets A New Crew Chief

Michael Waltrip Racing announced that Billy Scott has been promoted to crew chief of the No. 55 MWR Toyota and driver Brian Vickers.

Team Co-Owner Michael Waltrip said:

Billy was the unanimous selection by everyone here at MWR including the crew, drivers, and ownership. We feel like engineering is one of our strongest assets and with that type of talent in house it was easy to promote from within. Billy has earned this opportunity because he has helped develop and refine the engineering tools that we use every day to make our cars faster.

Scott Miller, Executive Vice President of Competition with MWR, served as crew chief of the No. 55 when Rodney Childers left the team in the middle of 2013.

Miller will go back to overseeing MWR’s competition effort.
