NASCAR Penalizes No. 99 Team

NASCAR has penalized RAB Racing’s No. 99 Nationwide Series Toyota for infractions found during the Drive to Stop Diabetes 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

During the race, the No. 99 team was found to have Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 20A-2.3A (added car weight; improperly attached weight; loss of weight during the event) of the 2014 NASCAR rule book.

The penalty is a P3 penalty.

As a result of the infraction, crew chief Chris Rice has been fined $10,000 and placed on NASCAR probation until the end of the calendar year. Car chief John Guerra has also been placed on NASCAR probation until the end of the calendar year.
