Hornish To Wood Brothers?

FoxSport1’s Bob Dillner reported on NASCAR Raceday that Sam Hornish may drive for Wood Brothers Racing part time in the Sprint Cup next season.

Trevor Bayne, current driver of the No. 21 WBR Ford, has been announced as the full-time driver of Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 6 Sprint Cup Ford next season. As a result, WBR was left searching for a driver.

WBR has already said that they plan to run a limited number of races next season. So, they need to find a driver willing to run part time.

Hornish may fit that bill. The last full Cup season Hornish ran was 2010. He ran one race in 2011, 20 races in 2012, one race in 2013, and one race so far this season. In 2012 and 2013, he ran the full Nationwide Series schedule, picking up one win.
