Piquet To Make Cup Debut At The Glen

Nelson Piquet Jr will make his Sprint Cup Series debut in the Cheez-It 355 at the Glen at Watkins Glen International driving the No. 77 WORX Yard Tools, Randy Humphrey Motorsports Ford.

Because there are currently 43 cars on the entry list, Piquet is guaranteed a starting spot, unless another team files a late entry.

Piquet drove in the Camping World Truck Series from 2010-2012 where he earned two wins, 15 top 5s, and 28 top 10s. In 2013, he drove the full Nationwide Series schedule, earning five top 10s.

RHM has attempted 16 Cup series races this season with Dave Blaney, qualifying for four. The team’s best finish was 33rd in the FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway.
