Suarez To Drive For JGR In N’Wide Series
In addition to announcing that Carl Edwards will join JGR in 2015, JGR is also expected to announce that Daniel Suarez, a NASCAR Driver for Diveristy participant, will drive for the team in the Nationwide Series in 2015.
Suarez currently drives in the NASCAR Toyota Series in Mexico. He’s made 52 starts in the series since 2011, and he has nine career victories, including four from this season. He also has 24 top 5s, 31 top 10s, and 12 poles in that series.
He has also made 42 starts in the NASCAR K&N East Series since 2011. In that series, he has three career victories, 12 top 5s, and 22 top 10s.
Earlier this season, he made one start in the Nationwide Series, driving the No. 20 JGR Toyota in the Toyota Care 250 at Richmond International Raceway. He started 12th and finished 19th, completing all but one lap.
Update: Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Daniel Suarez will drive for the team in the Nationwide Series in 2015, as well as a part time schedule in the Camping World Truck Series with ARRIS Group Inc, a telecommunications company that is new to NASCAR. ARRIS will also appear on Carl Edwards’s Sprint Cup JGR Toyota for 17 races.
