Stanley, DeWalt To Sponsor Edwards, Kenseth In 2015

Joe Gibbs Racing announced that they have reached a multi-year sponsorship agreement with tool and security provider Stanley and power-tool manufacturer DeWalt that will start in 2015.

Stanley will appear on the No. 19 JGR Toyota driven by Carl Edwards for 12 Sprint Cup Series races in 2015. DeWalt will appear on the No. 20 JGR Toyota driven by Matt Kenseth for six Cup races in 2015.

In the late 1990s, DeWalt sponsored Kenseth in what is now the Nationwide Series and moved to the Cup series with him. Kenseth drove for DeWalt for more than a decade, until in 2009, DeWalt announced it was leaving Roush Fenway Racing and Kenseth’s No. 17.

In 2011, DeWalt joined Richard Petty Motorsports and appeared on the No. 9 car driven by Marcos Ambrose. Coincidentally, Stanley moved from RPM’s No. 19 to the No. 9.

Stanley and DeWalt have been on the No. 9 car since Ambrose joined the team. Ambrose recently announced that he was leaving RPM at the end of the season to return to Australia to drive V8 Supercars for DJR Penske, a joint venture between Team Penske and Dick Johnson Racing.
