Patrick, Busch Swap Crew Chiefs

Stewart Haas Racing will swap screw chiefs and road crew between the No. 10 Chevy of driver Danica Patrick and the No. 41 Chevy of driver Kurt Busch starting at the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway at the end of October.

Crew chief Tony Gibson will move from the No. 10 team to the No. 41. Daniel Knost will move from the No. 41 to the No. 10 on an interim basis.

While the road crews will be swapped, the pit crews will not.

Greg Zipadelli, vice president of competition, SHR said:

We made this change to evaluate our program and to get a head start on 2015. With the ban on testing next year, the last three races of this season take on even greater importance. For Tony Gibson and Kurt, they’ll get three races together that will provide direction for next year. And for Daniel Knost and Danica, this is an opportunity for them develop a rapport that could potentially continue into 2015.
