Kahne Gets A New Crew Chief

Hendrick Motorsports announced that Keith Rodden will replace Kenny Francis as crew chief for the No. 5 team and driver Kasey Kahne.

Rodden moved with Francis and Kahne to HMS three years ago. But, before the 2014 season, he left to join Chip Ganassi Racing as crew chief for Jamie McMurray and the No. 1 team.

Francis will become vehicle technical director and he will oversee car design and development. Francis will manage day-to-day operation of chassis, body, research and development, on-track testing, vehicle engineering and simulation program.
