Smith To Sub For Kurt Busch

Regan Smith will drive the No. 41 Stewart Haas Racing Chevy in the Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, while Kurt Busch is suspended.

As it stands right now, Smith will only be in the car for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. No driver has been named for the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway or beyond that.

Busch has been suspended indefinitely for actions detrimental to stock car racing and a behavioral penalty. Busch appealed the suspension, but his appeal was denied.

Smith subbed for Busch in the Daytona 500, where he finished 16th.
