Landon Cassill will drive for a yet-to-be-named race team in 2012. The team will field two cars; Brian Vickers and Travis Kvapil are said to be candidates for the second seat.
TRG Motorsports announced that NASCAR veteran crew chief Doug Richert has been named to that role for the team’s No. 71 Interstate Moving Services Ford and driver Andy Lally. Richert will assume crew chief duties starting with this weekend’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Robby Gordon Motorsports has hired Iain Watt to serve as crew chief for the team’s No. 7 Sprint Cup Toyota this season. Watt joins RGM from Richard Petty Motorsports, where he was director of performance engineering. Watt replaces Doug Richert, who was recently hired by Keyed Up Motorsports to be crew chief for Casey Mears.

Robby Gordon Motorsports announced that Doug Richert will assume crew chief duties for the No. 7 Toyota Camry starting this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. The team has not committed to him for 2010, but that could be in the works depending on how he does over the next five races.
