Washington Post columnist Norman Chad wrote a column calling for an end to NASCAR in which he referred to the sport as wasteful. While Chad is entitled to his opinion, he is grossly misinformed about NASCAR.
NASCAR is aiming to switch to E15 fuel, a mix of 85% gasoline and 15% ethanol, by the 2011 Sprint Cup season. Hendrick Motorsports is currently testing E15.
