Regan Smith has signed a two-year contract extension with Furniture Row Racing, FoxSports.com is reporting. The deal puts Smith in the No. 78 Sprint Cup Chevy through the 2012 season.
Regan Smith was injured when he was involved in a multi-car wreck on a restart at Infineon Raceway. Cars stacked up in front of Smith and he ended up spinning and suffering major front-end damage. Richard Childress Racing and Kevin Harvick have reportedly reached an agreement on a contract extension that will keep Harvick in the No. 29 Chevy beyond the 2010 season. An official announcement is expected Saturday before the All Star race.
