Despite a report that Richard Childress Racing was holding off on layoffs after the team said it would enter the No. 07 in the 2010 Daytona 500, the team laid off fewer than a dozen people in preparation for closing the No. 07 team after sponsor Jack Daniels left.
Brown-Forman, parent company of Jack Daniels, will conclude its sponsorship of Richard Childress Racing’s No. 07 and driver Casey Mears at the end of the season.
