Kentucky Speedway announced that race fans who weren’t able to make it to their seats for the Quaker State 400 can exchange their ticket for any other SMI track this year, or for a ticket to the 2012 Kentucky race.
Traffic was the issue at Kentucky Speedway. It got so bad that some fans, who sat in traffic for five hours, were turned away once they got to the track. But, for those who didn’t make it in, you didn’t miss much.
The Kentucky Tourism Development Finance Authority has approved tax incentives for Kentucky Speedway ahead of their Sprint Cup race on July 9th, 2011. The incentive allows the track to recover as much as 25% of development costs through rebates from sales tax generated at the track.

Johnny Benson held off Michael Annett to win the Built Ford Tough 225 from Kentucky Speedway. With the victory, Benson took the points lead by one point over Matt Crafton, who finished third.
