Two NASCAR Nationwide Series crew chiefs have been fined for infractions found during the Subway Jalapeño 250 at Daytona International Speedway, the stock car sanctioning body announced Wednesday.

Curtis Aldridge, crew chief for Jay Robinson Racing’s no 49 and driver Mark Green, was fined $10,000 and placed on probation through the end of the calendar year for violating Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-J (any determination by NASCAR officials that the race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules) and 20A-2.3A (improperly attached weight) of the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rule Book.

Gray Showatler, crew chief for Key Motorsports’ No. 40 and driver Mike Bliss, was fined $5,000 for violating Sections 12-1, 12-4-J and 20A-5.10.1B(3) (venturi height was not dimensionally correct).

The violations on the No. 40 were found during opening day inspection, while the violations on the No. 49 were found during practice on Thursday.

In related news, Key Motorsports is working to field a second car for at least five races this Nationwide Series season. The team is talking to potential drivers and partners and is planning to run the No. 46.

Carl Edwards moved Clint Bowyer out of the way for the lead in the closing laps and held on to win the Camping World RV Rental 250 at the Milwaukee Mile.

Joey Logano, Bowyer, David Ragan, and David Reutimann rounded out the top 5.

The rest of the top 10 were Scott Wimmer, Mike Bliss, Brad Keselowski, Jason Keller, and Jason Leffler.

Notables: Kelly Bires (11th), Cale Gale (12th), Mark Green (13th), Marcos Ambrose (16th), and David Stremme (34th).

Brad Keselowski appeared to have the car to beat early in the race, leading multiple times for over 100 laps. But, while racing for the lead, Keselowski and Joey Logano got together, damaging Keselowski’s left front fender. The resulting damage turned Keseleowski’s No. 88 Navy Chevy from a winning car into a eighth place car.

Logano also got together with Bowyer on pit road, which Bowyer wasn’t too happy about. He also got together with Chase Miller in the closing laps.
